New Records!

Yes, I set my own new record.  I left the hospital at 9:45 pm. Yes my shift is usually over at 7:30.  Things weren't bad during the day, just really hectic.  I had a patient that required lots and lots of platelets which took up one of her medication lines and the other had her liquid nutrition on it so a lot of meds can't run on it.  It was a lot of juggling to get everything in her within a reasonable time. My other patient was a baby who's oxygen requirements were increasing throughout the day and there was constantly a monitor beeping that he was low on the oxygen monitor.  I just had a lot going on and no time to chart for the majority of the day.  I didn't feel too bad about how the day went, i even wish I could have had the same two patients the next day so I could try and handle it better on day two.  I wasn't working so maybe I will have them tomorrow.  I'll let you know.
