YIPEE!

So I was pretty nervous about going back to work on day shift. For one it has notoriously kicked my butt and I have left work around 9 every time I work days. The second thing is it's been awhile and I haven't worked one. That means no line changes, no going to sit at the big table, and really not that much interaction with patients for about 2 weeks.

Things when great! I got out of there at 7:30 pm which is totally respectable and my preceptor didn't help me much at all. There were some things that weren't necessarily on the schedule for the day like one of my patients needed a platelet transfusion and one needed a head shaving. Shaving the head and getting it all over with it a lot easier and less messy for the patient, except this time it was a little 3 mth old that was blessed with a ton of hair, it was crazy to get that much off such an itty. Hopefully it will make her more comfy.
